ARTAVIA® SUPPORTS CONROE ISD AND CANEY CREEK HIGH SCHOOL

ARTAVIA®, a master-planned community in the Montgomery County/Conroe, Tx area, is continuing support of local Conroe ISD students by making contributions with a Bright Futures Campaign. One of the donations made in 2023 was in support of the Caney Creek High School Cheer team to assist with their travel to the National High School Cheerleading Championship. The Caney Creek High School Cheer team just competed and placed 6th in the nation for High School Co-Ed division.

“The Bright Futures campaign is an initiative to support students at the local CISD schools which serve the ARTAVIA community,” said Lisa Connell, Marketing Director for AIRIA Development® Company, the developer of ARTAVIA. “The Caney Creek Cheer team has worked hard to excel on the local and national level, and it is our pleasure to help with a donation for their travel expenses.”

The Caney Creek Cheer team traveled to compete at Nationals after competing at the UIL State cheerleading competition in January, where they placed 8th in the State among 44 other Co-Ed cheerleading teams.  This is the 3rd year in a row the Panthers finished in the UIL State Finalist top 10 and were 3rd place Bronze medalists in 2022.

“We are so excited to see the growth in our team, program and placement this year. We are honored to have partnered with ARTAVIA for the 2nd year. Our success would not be possible without the generosity of their sponsorship. Caney Creek is proud to have represented CISD, CCHS, ARTAVIA, and our Panther community at nationals,” said Coach Jlyn Jackson.

The 2023 National High School Cheerleading Championship took place on February 10-12, 2023, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at The Walt Disney World®. The National High School Cheerleading Championship, produced by Universal Cheerleaders Association, a Varsity Spirit brand, is the pinnacle of cheerleading competitions for high school cheerleaders across the country. The event hosted over 2,100 performances across 32 states. All teams invited to compete at the championship qualified at a regional competition in 2022-23. Teams were credentialed in cheer safety and leadership training, endorsed by the National Federation of High School Sports (NFHS), as well as in the areas of crowd leading, spirit raising, ambassadorship, athleticism, and entertainment.

Located north of the Grand Parkway, midway between I-45N and US 59N, and east of FM 1314 on SH 242, ARTAVIA will bring approximately 5,200 homes to the area, and plans include over 120 acres of mixed-use, commercial and retail properties. Students living in ARTAVIA attend Conroe ISD. Conroe ISD recently purchased a parcel of land within the community to accommodate a future on-site school.

With its convenient location, ARTAVIA affords access to a long list of employment, medical, retail and recreation destinations. For more information, directions and updates, visit artaviatx.com.
